The Pioatti will be talking about their season, including their week-long at
the Rye Arts Festival between 20th and 27th September, which will feature the Quartet in a series of concerts with other guest musicians, open rehearsal sessions, masterclasses for young players and a free gig in a pub!
Tonight, Monday 25th August, the Piatti will be playing Haydn 'Emperor' Quartet 1st movement (op.76 no.3), Ades
'O Albion' from Arcadiana and a new piece they
commissioned from Richard Birchall (premiered in June 2014) entitled
Shapesorter.
If you miss In Tune tonight, the programme will be on the iplayer for the next seven days. You can, of course, catch them at the Rye Arts Festival. The full Festival features over 60 events including classical and contemporary music and literary talks and runs from 12th to 28th September. Tickets for the Piatti and other events can be bought online from ryeartsfestival.co.uk
